The Clock Keeps Ticking -Take Action!

Time:The inevitable progression into the future, characterized by the passing of present events into the past.

Time they say waits for no one. I wish it does sometimes or rather most times. I’d be like…hey time wait for meee! But we all know that’s far from reality cos time never waits for nobody, even if the battery of your clock or wristwatch stops working, time never stops.

It keeps ticking and ticking and ticking and ticking…

Tick tock…and you’re born;
Tick tock…and you turn 12;
Tick tock…and you graduate from college;
Tick tock…and you’re married;
Tick, tick tock…and you become a grand parent;
Tick, and you never hear tock again!

Every tick tock is unique because every tick tock is personal!

In a tick tock, a family welcomes their first child and in that same tick tock, a family loses their only son.

In a tick tock, a man buys his first car and in that same tick tock, someone almost loses his life in a road accident.

In a tick tock, two friends wait to see the results of their promotional exams; Tick, one is promoted and tock the other has to retake exams.

It never stops ticking – oh what a constant progression!.

The Creator of time, timely timed the timeline of all things in this tick tick tock world. There is a time for everything.

My question is, how do you spend your time? How you spend your time is how you live your life.

Are you working towards your set goals or fruitlessly engaging yourself in wishful thinking? Are you still holding on to relationships that are going nowhere? Are you avoiding taking responsibility for the outcome of your life?

"It is good for a man to bear the yoke in his youth" – (Lam.3:27). So says the book of wisdom.

It is indeed wise for a young person to bear the yoke while he is still young. Neglecting to bear the yoke when you are young will inevitably lead to you facing the nagging consequences later in life.

Truth can be denied -but it can’t be avoided!

While you are still young, full of strength and vigour, it is good to carry the loads of – required responsibility, perspiration of hard work, tenacity in prayers, and the discipline of thinking right thoughts, in order to live that rich and fulfilling life desired by everyone.

Time hasn’t started waiting for anyone and it surely won’t wait for you.

You won’t be as strong as you are now in few years to come, so spend your time wisely. Let’s make hay while the sun still shines.

Remember, the clock is still ticking…
