The six abducted boys of Igbonla Government College, Epe Lagos have been freed today July 28, 2017. The boys namely, Adebayo George, Farouq Yusuf, Isiaq Rahmon, Judah Agbausi, Pelumi Philips and Peter Jonah, were abducted on May 25, 2017 from their school premises by unknown gunmen.
News of their rescue was confirmed by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni who declined giving much details on the conditions of the operation.
It was gathered that their release which was a combine effort of Lagos and Ondo states governments and the Nigeria Police happened this afternoon at Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo state.
Further details are being let out at an ongoing joint press release which has in attendance, the governor of Ondo, deputy governor of Lagos, Lagos COMPOL, the six boys, their parents, and others.
