Scholarship

Opportunity for scholarships abounds a lot in 2018 but information is key. The most important thing in January of every year is information, as many institutions intimate the public with their annual palns. A surf through the Scholarship Board of the Federal Ministry of Education in Nigeria unveils useful information which I have tried to summarize here. Please note that non of the scholarship opportunities presented here attracts payment or registration fee.

The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, has extended invitation to interested and qualified Nigerians to participate in the 2018/2019 Nomination Interview for Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) Scholarship Award for:

All qualified candidates are advised to visit FME’s website www.education.gov.ng for detail guidelines and requirements. You could also see the communique in pdf format for more details.

In another communique, the Minister of Education is calling for applications from qualified Nigerian University graduates to participate in the 2018/2019 Commonwealth Scholarships and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) selection exercise. The awards are tenable in the United Kingdom in any of the following two categories:
i. One year taught Masters course; or

ii. Doctoral degrees of up to three years duration.

For eligibility and instruction on how to apply, see the communique in pdf format or visit www.education.gov.ng and follow the link for Scholarship Board.

2018 JAPANESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP FOR TEACHER TRAINING STUDENTS

The Director of Federal Scholarship Board, Fatima A. Jiddum, in another advertisement reveals that the Government of Japan is inviting interested and qualified Nigerian primary and secondary school teachers who desire to undertake teacher training courses and learn Japanese language at Japanese Universities under the Monbukagakusho Mext Scholarship Scheme for 2018 academic year.
