The aim of Global Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Week 2019 scholarships is to support students and young professionals around the world to participate in the Global MIL Week 2019 Feature Conference and Youth Agenda Forum. It is taking place from 24 to 26 September 2019 in Gothenburg, Sweden. These two events are organized by UNESCO together with and hosted by the County Council Region Västra Götaland, Gothenburg, Sweden and the University of Gothenburg.
What does MIL Week 2019 scholarships cover?
- Round-trip air ticket from the country of departure to Gothenburg, Sweden;
- Accommodation and meals during the stay in Gothenburg, from 23 to 26 September 2019;
- Opportunity to present during the 2019 Global MIL Week Youth Agenda Forum;
So, if you work or study in fields related to media and information literacy and you are between 18 and 30 years old, I guess you’ll want to participate in the #GlobalMILWeek 2019 and you don’t want to miss the MIL scholarship for anything. MIL Week is actually a global annual event that comes in October. The theme for this year is MIL Citizens: informed, engaged, empowered. This is the 8th edition. Its Feature Conference and Youth Agenda Forum will be held from 24 to 26 September 2019 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Eligibility for the MIL Week 2019 scholarships cover?
Eligible youth must be from 18 to 30 years old who study, research or work in fields related to MIL (media, information and library science, ICTs, communications, social development, etc.), from all UN regions: Africa, Arab States, Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America, and Latin America and the Caribbean.
Application Process
The first thing an applicant should do is to read more about the work of UNESCO on MIL so as to understand how to feature their own work or interest.
After that, candidates should apply online by completing this application form.
