1. Banking Operations

Banking Operations includes the daily lawful processes and transactional activities carried out in banks. This may be classified by front office and back office operations as well as scope of activity depending on the type or size of the bank. This program will equip diplomates with basic theoretical and practical knowledge to perform entry level task in a bank.

Some of the areas of study in which you’ll be trained include fundamentals of banking, bank domestic operations, bank foreign operations, bank software operations, customer service, computing, psychometry in banking, basic credit & loan documentation, business law, banking law, ethics and best practices, bank marketing services, business finance, accounting, among others.

Personality Type for Banking Operations

Ability to work with high level of accuracy, propensity to render service to diverse customers and being reliable are important dispositions of a banking operations officer. Being good with numbers is also an advantage.

NBTE’s Objectives for NID in Banking Operations

A product of NID in Banking Operations should be able to perform the following task in a bank:

  • Domestic operations
  • Customer service
  • Credit & Marketing
  • Foreign operations
